Sales Engineer

Industrial Automation & System Integration Services

NeoMatrix is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer to support the growth of our system integration software services for industrial automation. This individual will be responsible for engaging with prospective and existing clients to understand their operational challenges, propose innovative automation solutions, and drive business value through consultative selling and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with outstanding communication and relationship-building skills to help clients successfully implement new automation and process control strategies.

Desired Outcomes

  • Add at least $6 MM of deals to sales pipeline each year.
  • Close at least $3 MM in sales each year.
  • Add five new customers with at least $100k per customer by the end of the first year.
  • Assist in the review and revision of the Productized Offerings by the end of first year.
  • Assist in the review and revision of the Sales Playbook by the end of first year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Have demonstrated knowledge in industrial automation and system integration, demonstrating technical expertise and implementation best practices.
  • Engage with new and existing clients to understand their operations and identify how NeoMatrix solutions can improve productivity, efficiency, and performance.
  • Align client business goals and technical requirements to expand relationships, grow revenue, and close new opportunities.
  • Conduct initial engineering assessments and requirements discovery to inform solution design and implementation strategies.
  • Develop and deliver compelling, customized proposals that accurately reflect project scope, pricing, risks, and customer win strategies.
  • Architect and present automation and integration solutions to both technical and executive-level audiences in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and acquiring new customers through proactive outreach and solution selling.
  • Lead internal coordination and resource alignment across engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure successful execution of customer engagements.
  • Establish and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with executive-level stakeholders and technical contacts.
  • Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on messaging, campaigns, and lead generation strategies.
  • Deliver accurate and timely sales forecasts on a quarterly basis.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and activity logs within CRM systems to ensure data accuracy and visibility.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including presentation and proposal development.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with engineering a plus
  • Significant Enterprise Sales and Account Management experience
  • “Cross Selling” or overlay business development experience is a plus
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of successful experience as a direct contributor carrying an individual quota
  • Experience in services and solution selling is preferred, proficient in automation solutions in manufacturing
  • Demonstrates skills of decisiveness, flexibility, sound judgment, and highly developed personal, analytical, process, emotional intelligence, and communication skills
  • Track record in closing complex deals in Life Sciences or Manufacturing industries
  • Good executive presence, communication skills, and credibility
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned annual/quarterly goals and targets
  • Attentive to CRM (HubSpot) deal tracking, forecasting and business reporting responsibilities
  • Possess strong knowledge in planning, managing projects, having scope for independent accomplishment and coordination of difficult and responsible assignments
